Summer Party of the Queer Staff Network on June 25 – warm invitation!

Since November 2023, FAU has had the Queer Staff Network, an informal network for queer staff from all disciplines and fields. The aim of the network is to boost diversity at FAU and proactively promote the exchange, visibility and empowerment of queer staff. In this context, the term “queer” stands for all marginalized sexual and gender identities, including all people who are unsure, have questions and/or are in the process of coming out or transitioning.

Since the official launch of the network, monthly well-attended meetings have been held in public spaces and in various university facilities, both in Erlangen and Nuremberg.

For Pride Month and with the increasingly warm weather, we are throwing a summer party as our June meeting, to which we hereby cordially invite all employees: those who identify as queer and also all those who, as allies, want to support their queer colleagues at FAU in solidarity and celebrate queerness together!

When: Tuesday, June 25, starting at 6 pm

Where: IZNF, Cauerstraße 3 (side entrance around the building, see attached map)

What: Potluck BBQ: bring whatever you’d like to throw on the grill and a side dish or dessert to share via the list (no need to give names)

Further information about the summer party, the Queer Staff Network and other meetings can be found on our website.

We look forward to seeing you there!

If you would like to join the network, you can subscribe to our mailing list.

A recent interview with the initiators and organizers of the network on the occasion of Pride Month can be found here (in German).
