Queer staff network FAU – networking of queer FAU employees

Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg sees itself as an open and diverse institution that wants to promote and support the empowerment of all employees belonging to marginalized groups. As the Queer Staff Network, we want to contribute to this goal and proactively ensure the connection, visibility and empowerment of queer staff members at FAU.

We understand the term “queer” to include all marginalized sexual identities and genders, including anyone who is unsure or questioning and/or is in the process of coming out or transitioning.

Our goal is to create a safe space where queer staff members of FAU can connect, get to know and support each other – and, importantly, laugh together. We will be holding monthly informal events, which we will plan together. If you would like to join the network, you can sign up for our mailing list.

Next events

Tuesday, June 25th at 6 pm: To celebrate pride month, we will have a Queer Staff Network BBQ party! We’ll fire up the grill at the TechFak (IZNF, Cauerstraße 3) with Allison Götz and celebrate Pride. Please bring your own grillables, plates and cutlery and fill in what you bring for everyone to share to this list. We will take care of the grill, drinks and music. We are looking forward to seeing you!
