Equal Opportunities

Implementing equal opportunities for all members of the University is a prime concern throughout FAU. It takes priority in all University bodies, boards and committees, as well as at all levels of planning and decision-making.

FAU incorporated diversity management as a further strategic pillar of its gender equality and family policy in 2012. FAU values diversity, taking a proactive and inclusive approach. No-one may be discriminated against on the grounds of their gender, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, social status or a disability. FAU aims to develop a gender-sensitive university and academic culture that embraces diversity and meets the needs of families, where equality of opportunity in the sense of gender equality, a family-friendly culture and prevention of discrimination prevails as a matter of course.
