Awareness refers to the recognition of and attention to situations where behavior that violates or transgresses boundaries occurs. Awareness work helps raise sensitivity and prevent all forms of (sexual) harassment, discrimination and violence.
Awareness work aims to ensure that all people can feel as comfortable, free, and safe as possible in their environment.
The overall goal is to actively practice and develop a conscious and equitable university culture based on mutual respect, free from harassment and discrimination. For this purpose, the Office of Equality and Diversity has developed a handout and various support materials intended to raise awareness, educate stakeholders, and support the implementation of awareness measures.
